Project Description
This home was originally a brick and stone clad mid-century home, deeply set back and withdrawn from the street. Our response was to celebrate some of the key mid-century elements of this home, whilst adapting it to the current century and our clients brief.
In plan, a reorganisation of bedroom spaces of the south-eastern wing, created a new circulation space, with an extended hall and separation of bedrooms and removing shared walls between each. This value of privacy was extended to the second story, with the creation of a parents retreat. A master bedroom, ensuite and sitting area, accessible by new stairs can be an isolated zone for the owners.
